The Untitled series started at a point where I thought I had ended my previous series. The paths I took to search for the new after something that was finished led me to take these photos, which are the continuation of the placeholder series. This time, as I walked through altered landscapes, I stopped being a so-called objective eye watching the view from a distance. Instead, I have adopted an approach where I focus on details and pay more attention to my personal preferences.

The resulting photographs differed from those in the placeholder series, but enabled an atmosphere that better emphasized the essential features of altered landscapes. I did this by increasing the contrast between the photos. Instead of just focusing on altered landscapes, I also included natural and urban landscapes. This allowed me to define the subject through negative space rather than highlighting it. While the hybrid nature of transitional landscapes became clearer with the help of this definition, the form of the frame around the concept of landscape became increasingly ambiguous for me.
