Billboards, made ubiquitous as to ensure the ceaseless maintenance of consumption, transform themselves into a piece of single-surface decoration, and the road as a whole into a film set, with a façade that only overlooks the road. Moving past the surface, the only thing to see is a heap of metal construction trying to keep up this illusion.

The installation Hollow proposes an alternative means to pass through the illusory forepart. As much as it may be impossible to see beyond the surface while looking at it straight on, removing the content on display renders the void behind this illusion visible—even if only by a little.

The installation was exhibited in Mekan Atölye V group show at Cermodern in 2018.
