The series was captured between the beginning and the peak of the pandemic. In the process, I continued to go out and take pictures. Normally, I would go to ordinary places away from everyday life and the city. Since I couldn't get very far due to mandatory lockdowns, the photos I took at home and in the neighborhood intertwined with the photos I took a little bit outside the city.
The name of the series emerged by itself during this time period when I tried to define the things that were new to me along with the things that I knew would not be the same again in my life. So, I was looking for things that were once there but instead I found only a lingering sense of absence.
